Mount Kilimanjaro Join Group Climb 8 Days Lemosho Route | Departure January 12th to January 22nd

Begin your adventure to the Roof of Africa by joining our scheduled Mount Kilimanjaro 8 Days Lemosho Route group departure from 12th January to 22nd January. This itinerary has been carefully designed to maximize acclimatization, improve summit success rates, and allow climbers to experience the breathtaking beauty of one of the world’s most famous trekking destinations.

Whether you are traveling solo, as a couple, or with friends, this join group departure offers the perfect opportunity to climb Mount Kilimanjaro alongside like-minded travelers from around the world. Sharing the journey creates unforgettable memories, lifelong friendships, and a supportive atmosphere throughout the expedition while offering a more affordable alternative to a private climb.

The Lemosho Route is widely recognized as one of the best routes on Mount Kilimanjaro because of its gradual ascent, spectacular scenery, and excellent acclimatization profile. Starting on the remote western side of the mountain, the trail passes through dense rainforest, expansive moorlands, volcanic plateaus, alpine desert, and glacial landscapes before reaching Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters above sea level.

Your journey begins on 12th January when you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Our team will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Moshi, where you can relax after your journey. During the evening, your experienced mountain guide will conduct a comprehensive climb briefing and inspect your equipment to ensure you are fully prepared for the expedition ahead.

The trek begins on 13th January at Lemosho Gate. The first day takes you through the lush rainforest, where towering trees, colorful birdlife, and playful colobus monkeys create an unforgettable introduction to Kilimanjaro National Park. The gradual ascent allows your body to begin adjusting comfortably to the increasing altitude while enjoying one of the mountain’s most beautiful ecosystems.

As the climb continues, the scenery changes dramatically as you emerge onto the magnificent Shira Plateau. This vast volcanic plateau offers panoramic views across the mountain and neighboring Mount Meru. Each day reveals new landscapes, from giant heather fields and alpine meadows to dramatic lava formations and rugged mountain ridges that make the Lemosho Route one of the most scenic trekking experiences in Africa.

One of the greatest advantages of the 8-day Lemosho Route is the additional time available for acclimatization. Following the internationally recommended principle of “climb high, sleep low,” climbers gain elevation during the day before descending to lower camps for the night. This strategy helps the body adapt naturally to the thinner air, greatly increasing the likelihood of a successful and enjoyable summit.

The climb to Lava Tower provides an important acclimatization opportunity before descending to the spectacular Barranco Valley. The following day, climbers tackle the famous Barranco Wall, one of Kilimanjaro’s most exciting highlights. Although it appears steep, the route is not technical, and your professional guides will assist you throughout the ascent while ensuring your safety and confidence.

After reaching the high camp at Kosovo Camp or Barafu Camp, depending on weather and guide recommendations, you will rest before beginning the summit attempt shortly after midnight. Under a sky filled with stars, you will gradually ascend toward Stella Point before continuing to Uhuru Peak. Reaching the highest point in Africa as the sun rises over the surrounding glaciers and clouds is an unforgettable achievement and one of the most rewarding moments in adventure travel.

Following your summit celebration and photographs, you will descend to lower elevations for a well-earned rest. The final trekking day leads through the rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you will receive your official Kilimanjaro summit certificate in recognition of your accomplishment.

Your expedition concludes on 22nd January after breakfast at your hotel in Moshi. Our team will transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight, or you may choose to extend your stay by exploring Tanzania’s famous wildlife parks or relaxing on the white sandy beaches of Zanzibar.

Throughout your climb, your safety remains our highest priority. Our experienced, licensed mountain guides conduct daily health checks using pulse oximeters, monitor your acclimatization, and carry emergency oxygen and comprehensive first-aid equipment. A dedicated support team of assistant guides, cooks, and porters ensures that you remain comfortable, well-fed, and fully supported throughout the expedition.

January is one of the most popular months for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro due to its generally dry weather, comfortable daytime temperatures, and clear mountain views. The stable conditions provide excellent trekking opportunities while allowing climbers to enjoy spectacular sunrises, sunsets, and panoramic views across Tanzania.

This join group climb is suitable for both beginners and experienced hikers. While previous climbing experience is not required, a reasonable level of physical fitness and preparation before arrival will help you enjoy the adventure and increase your chances of reaching the summit successfully.

The package includes airport transfers, hotel accommodation before and after the climb, Kilimanjaro National Park entrance fees, camping fees, rescue fees, licensed English-speaking mountain guides, assistant guides, experienced mountain cooks, porters, quality mountain tents, sleeping mattresses, all meals during the trek, purified drinking water, daily medical monitoring, emergency oxygen, pulse oximeter checks, and your official Kilimanjaro summit certificate.
