The route starts at Machame Gate on the southern side of Mount Kilimanjaro and finishes at Mweka Gate after a successful summit attempt. This is an open group departure with guaranteed availability, allowing travelers from different countries to join the same expedition. Group sizes are intentionally kept small to provide personalized support, better safety monitoring, and an enjoyable trekking experience for everyone.

Price

The cost of this scheduled join group climb is US$2,050 per person. The price is based on shared group participation and includes all essential services required for a successful Kilimanjaro expedition.

Accommodation

Accommodation before and after the climb is provided at a comfortable hotel in Moshi on a bed and breakfast basis. During the trek, climbers stay in quality mountain tents at designated campsites inside Kilimanjaro National Park. Spacious dining tents and comfortable sleeping mattresses are provided to ensure a pleasant camping experience throughout the expedition.

What’s Included

The tour price includes all Kilimanjaro National Park entrance fees, camping fees, rescue fees, government taxes, professional English-speaking mountain guides, assistant guides, certified porters, and a mountain cook. Airport transfers between Kilimanjaro International Airport and Moshi are also included, along with hotel accommodation before and after the climb. Climbers receive nutritious freshly prepared meals during the trek, filtered drinking water, quality camping equipment, sleeping mattresses, dining facilities, daily health monitoring using pulse oximeters, emergency oxygen, a comprehensive first aid kit, and an official Kilimanjaro summit certificate upon successful completion of the climb.

What’s Not Included

The package does not include international or domestic flights, Tanzania visa fees, travel insurance, personal climbing equipment, sleeping bag rental, personal expenses, alcoholic or soft drinks at the hotel, laundry services, and tips for mountain guides, porters, and cooks.

Difficulty Level

The 7 Days Machame Route is considered moderately challenging and is suitable for climbers with a good level of physical fitness. Thanks to its gradual ascent profile and built-in acclimatization opportunities, it offers one of the highest summit success rates on Mount Kilimanjaro. Previous mountain climbing experience is not required, although regular exercise and preparation before arrival are highly recommended.

Equipment
